The flag of Morocco is a red field with a green emerald pentagram. Red has considerable historic significance in Morocco, proclaiming the descent from royal Alaouite dynasty. The flag of Scotland (Scottish Gaelic: bratach na h-Alba; Scots: Banner o Scotland, also known as St Andrew’s Cross or the Saltire) consists of a white saltire defacing a blue field.
